we are so excited about the birth of our newbaby girl, carly. she came into the world quickly and happily. she is a calm baby with lots of love. we spend a lot of time looking at her.

avery got a doctor kit in the hospital. she had been asking to go to the hospital for over a week to go get baby carly.

when we got home from the hospital, avery was there with grandma ready to welcome us home. avery wanted to show carly her crib and then she wanted to hold her.

she said over and over "she's soft"

our first family picture...some how we did not take any in the hospital of all of us together.

we had a lot of visitors in the hospital, and many friends and family have visited and brought over food (or will be bringing it). we are so thankful for all of the love and support and especially thankful to our parents for taking good care of avery through all of this. it has certainly made the transition easier on all of us.

now we are home and adjusting to life as a family of four. it is pretty easy with a sweet little girl like avery. she is being a big helper and loves her baby sister.
