on september 27, i packed up the girls for an impromptu trip to austin. my parents were going down for a few days and james was working a double shift so i decided saturday morning to just go for it. i put a movie on for avery in the car and carly was sleeping. the drive down was not too bad. i was expecting much worse.
avery was so excited to see baby ried (and play with his toys).
carly had some good cuddle time with aj.
we walked to the neighborhood playground. 
this was reid's first time on the swing. 
taylor and gary came over to visit on sunday afternoon before we went home.
the drive home was a breeze. avery was so worn out from the walk to the park, and then playing at the park that she slept almost the whole way. carly loves the car so she was sleeping, too. it was a great trip and i am glad we went for a little visit. i hope we get back there soon!and...i just love baby reid.
