november recap

November was a busy month with some great weather! Avery played in the leaves. Carly was not too impressed. We don't get to play in leaves too often in Texas. We were able to scrape together one pile from the oak tree in the back.

Avery and Annabelle played at the park near Annabelle's house. They could have stayed on the swings all day! They are good little playmates and wear each other out. That is James jumping off the swings...kids don't try that at home.

We spent a lot of time in the kitchen between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Avery loves to help bake cookies. Her favorites are stirring the eggs and putting dough on her nose. If you follow James on Facebook, you know he makes a damn good omelet. Avery is always close by to stir the eggs for him.

Avery and Carly had a tea party in the living room. Avery was sweet about giving Carlygirl some more to eat. The blue dinosaur is always invited to Avery's tea parties. I think it is because he sits up better than the dolls.

Every year we go to Quiggly's Clayhouse to make Christmas presents. This is the 3rd year that we have gone the week of Thanksgiving and we had a good time with good friends. Carly had no problem getting her feet painted. Avery was NOT going to let us paint her hands. She finally let me trace them in pencil and I just painted them in.

Grandpa Jim and Granny Lizzie came to visit. They brought Dr. Seuss books and toys for the girls. Avery LOVED the Cat in the Hat. She called it the Cat-ta-ac-at and then shortened it to "cactus". She carries Cactus around the house and sleeps with him. He is one of the many toys that has found his way to Avery's bed.

Taylor and Gary came too. Carly got some good cuddle time with Aunt Tay-Tay.

Boo - check. Baby Ella - check. Sunglasses - check. Okay Daddy, I'm weddy-to-woll!

Carly turned 3 months in November. She is still a happy baby. She loves to grab toys that shake and hit the toys that are hanging down from her mat. She is a pro at kicking her feet, loves getting her diaper changed, and watches Avery's every move. She makes a lot of noise when she is playing by herself, but if Avery or Maverick are in sight she is a quiet observer.
