For Avery's 3rd birthday, we did an "animal art party." This is the first year that she has been super excited about her birthday. Starting in February with my birthday she would ask, "Who's birthday next?" After that was
Reid, then Daddy, then finally Avery!
When I asked her what kind of party she wanted she said "an animal party." What kind of animal? "wi-i-ld animals!" She was so excited to have her friends come over. For weeks leading up to it she would talk about a little friend from school or the neighborhood and say. "He can come to a birthday at my house." When people asked what she wanted for her birthday she would say, "Cookies!"
The weather was perfect, which is a good thing because we would not have all fit inside the house!
We had different areas that kids could paint rocks,
watercolor, do sidewalk chalk and sidewalk paint.
We had hamburgers, hot dogs and of course cupcakes!
We also had a lion pinata!
Avery liked her presents...and all the cards with stickers :)
Reid got in on the present-opening action.
Daddy took a little nap while Carly played.
Avery had a little party at school during snack time. She gave each friend a cookie lollipop and then showed pictures of herself from when she was a baby until now.
We are so proud of our big girl!
